Globe valves throttle the flow between a disc and seat, which allows fine regulation as well as simple on/off duty. The DIN standard straight and angle bodies operate on sea water, fresh water, oil and steam circuits up to 220 °C. The metal bellow sealed version is intended for applications where no leakage around the stem is acceptable.
